ACLU Sues President Obama, To Protect “The Right To Life”

Wed, Sep 1, 2010

Update

Even the ACLU is not happy with President Obama!

See full story here. http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2010/08/aclu-sues-to-block-targeted-killings.html

According to the ACLU:  “The right to life is the most fundamental of all rights.”

“Outside the context of armed conflict, the intentional use of lethal force without prior judicial process is an abridgement of this right except in the narrowest and most extraordinary circumstances.”

See page 2. http://www.aclu.org/files/assets/alaulaqi_v_obama_complaint_0.pdf

According to ABC News ”the ACLU has filed suit to stop the US government’s practice of targeted assassinations of suspected terrorists around the world.”  President Obama is named as a defendant, in his official capacity as the President of the United States.

So we now understand the ACLU’s view more clearly, suspected terrorists have a “right to life,” but unborn American children in the womb do not.

Paradox. Social issues are what weakens both parties.

  2. Todd says:

Leading up to 2012 you will see candidates that lean too far left or right, because of their stance on social issues. For instance Palin lost it for McCain because she’s too far right, (amongst other political non-starters)

The theocratic stances do more to alienate in todays society.

Everyting is far left from the extreme right. Or is this the (Insert Opponent) is the most liberal (insert elected position) in history meme that politicians use? I think extremeism is a bad thing no matter how you frame it, like pushing perceived values on someone else.

I agree with you, it’s a shame that homosexual activists keep pushing their “perceived values” on everybody else.

  4. todd says:

They want the right to be legally binded and receive the same legal rights within that union everyone else has. Why do seek to deny that? If that mindset were in government, what other rights would you seek to withold?

    • jonathansaenz says:

And some men want the right to marry underage girls and some men want the right to marry two women. Would you withhold these rights?
